Located in the town of Inverness, Tomales Beach is a very small and narrow boat-in beach situated on the shores of Tomales Bay. Tomales Beach is situated in the northern part of Point Reyes National Seashore and is a popular kayaking camp spot. Tomales Beach welcomes dogs if brought in by boat and offers restrooms and a nice boat-in campground that does not provide drinking water and all human waste must be carried out of it. There are a couple of fun activities at Tomales Beach including boating and kayaking. Tomales Beach can only be accessed by taking a boat or kayak from Nick’s Cove, Marshall Beach, or Lawson’s Landing Beach.

Located in a national park called Point Reyes National Seashore, Avalis Beach is a beach with light brown sand. This beach is situated along the northern part of the Tomales Bay shoreline. 

Located in Point Reyes National Seashore, Kehoe Beach is a large and wide beach with light brown sand and sparse vegetation. The beach is situated below oceanfront bluffs and is a part of a large stretch of the oceanfront sandy area which is known as the "Great Beach.'' A creek flows through Kehoe Beach into the Pacific Ocean. 

Located in the town of Inverness, Marshall Beach is situated on the shores of Tomales Bay in the northern part of Point Reyes National Seashore. Marshall Beach has a nice campground and is a popular destination for kayaking. Marshall Beach welcomes dogs if brought in by boat and offers a few amenities including restrooms and a boat-in campground that does not provide drinking water and all human waste must be carried out of it. 

Located in the city of Inverness, Chicken Ranch Beach is a beach that has light brown sand and is popular among locals. The beach is designated as a Marin County Park. Chicken Ranch Beach has patches of vegetation, and a creek flows through the beach into Tomales Bay. Chicken Ranch Beach does not have lifeguards. However, the beach has trash cans, benches, and a restroom. The beach also allows dogs on leash. 

Located in the City of Inverness in Marin County, Point Reyes South Beach - also known as South Beach and South Beach at Point Reyes Beach - is a long golden sand beach with many rocky portions.  Point Reyes South Beach is positioned on the eastern side of Point Reyes National Seashore and is part of the famous 11-mile-long Point Reyes Beach - also known as Great Beach and Ten Mile Beach - that stretches from north to south, with South Beach located on its southern end.  The beach is tucked between Tomales Point Beach at its north and Point Reyes Headlands at its southern end, which has a beautiful background of low sandstone bluffs and offers Instagram-worthy views of the Pacific Ocean, especially during sunset.
