Located near the southern end of the town of Caspar, Caspar Headlands State Beach - also known as Caspar Creek Beach - is a beach with light brown sand and sparse vegetation. The beach is situated in a deep cove called Caspar Anchorage and is designated as a state park. While the water near the beach is cold, it has milder currents than other beaches in Mendocino County. Caspar Creek and Doyle Creek meet the ocean near the northern and southern ends of the beach respectively.
