Located in the city of Morro Bay, Tidelands Park is a two-acre popular recreational public park with an unnamed narrow muddy beach that has rocky parts. This beach is also known as Tidelands Park Beach. Tidelands Park does not have lifeguards. However, the park has many amenities including restrooms with showers, a children’s playground, a pier, picnic tables, barbeque spots, fish cleaning station, benches, and a boat launch facility. Dogs on leash are allowed in Tidelands Park and its beach.

Morro Bay is a lagoon and natural bay habitat that is well known for its hiking and mountain biking trails, and for its most famous landmark: Morro Rock. The beach is most frequented by fishermen and birdwatchers who have plenty to admire thanks to the bird population that inhabits the saltwater marsh on the northern end of the bay.
