Located in Gombato village in Kwale County on the southeastern coast of Kenya, Diani Beach is an immensely popular 17-kilometer-long white-sand beach. The beach is positioned between the Kongo River to the north and Galu Beach to the south and has a spectacular backdrop of dense vegetation, restaurants, luxury resorts, and many opulent hotels. There is a small river, popularly known as the Mwachema River, located at the northern end of Diani Beach that drains into the Indian Ocean, adding allure to its beauty. The beach is part of the Diani Chale Marine National Reserve, which serves as a protected area that helps preserve the local marine ecosystem. In addition, local communities are taking various conservation initiatives to protect the beach's natural environment and wildlife.
