The beach is narrow and long, with lush, green forest lining its sandy edges. The bright, turquoise waters are perfect for swimming, but get quite deep just a few feet from the shore, so only advanced swimmers are encouraged to explore the sea.
Some must-sees on Puka Beach include the far left of the beach and Bil-At Beach. The left area contains most of the beach's unspoiled beauty, with more greenery and sandy space; it's the best spot for a secluded picnic with your loved one. Bil-At Beach is a small, uncrowded stretch of sand, where swimming is a dream come true. The best activities to do on Puka Beach are kayaking and paddleboarding, as you'll be able to explore Boracay's coastline from a different perspective.
There are a few restaurants right on the sand, by the front entrance of Puka Beach. The food is amazing and the drinks are even better -- just be aware that the cocktails can get a bit pricey. Ton-Ton Kamayan has the best Asian food and is our favorite place to relax after a long day in the water. There are also many hotel options available nearby, including the classic Movenpick Resort & Spa Boracay and the sophisticated Argonauta Boracay. To get to Puka Beach are a few unique ways that you may not be used to -- locals offer transportation by tricycle, motorcycle, or boat. Each option is cheap, and each is fun and novel to experience. Overall, Puka Shell beach is the perfect escape from typical beach crowds, and the perfect vacation spot in all of Boracay.
