Located in the town of Motobu on the northwestern end of Okinawa Prefecture, Japan, Sesoko Beach is an 800-meter-long and wide white sand beach.  This beach is positioned just 90 minutes away from Naha Airport on the western side of Sesoko Island, Okinawa, which is connected to the Okinawa main island by a 762-meter bridge popularly known as Sesoko Bridge.  Sesoko Beach is recognized as one of the largest natural beaches in the Motobu region and has a beautiful backdrop of rugged cliffs and lush vegetation, creating a picturesque setting along the East China Sea.  This beach offers Instagram-worthy views of Mount Gusuku, along with the neighboring Minna Island and Ie Island, especially at sunrise.  Sesoko Beach is promoted as an ecotourism destination, encouraging sustainable tourism practices that preserve its natural environment.

If you get hungry, there are many great restaurants near Sesoko Beach.  Sesoko Seaside BBQ Garden serves incredible seafood, meat, poultry, and barbecue dishes.  Sisuco Grill is an upscale restaurant that serves delicious soups, steaks, meat, seafood, and poultry dishes.  49 Cafe serves incredible soups, curries, beef, seafood, poultry, meat, and barbecue dishes.  Orion serves amazing Japanese dishes.  If you are looking for another good and affordable restaurant, Cafe Halos serves delicious soups, pizzas, pasta, rice bowls, meat, seafood, and poultry dishes

If you are looking for accommodation near Sesoko Beach, there are many great options nearby.  If you are looking for an upscale hotel, the 4-Star Hilton Okinawa Sesoko Resort is two minutes away by car and offers several amenities, including an outdoor pool, hot tubs, a spa, a fitness center, and many restaurants.  A more affordable hotel is the 3-Star Hilton Club The Beach Resort Sesoko, which offers many amenities, including an outdoor pool, a hot tub, a fitness center, and a restaurant.  Another moderately priced option is the 3-Star Hotel Mahaina, which has several amenities, including an outdoor pool, a cafe, a bar, a spa, a hot tub, and restaurants.  A more reasonably priced option is the 3-Star Mr. Kinjo in Motobu Ocean Terrace, which has a few amenities, including comfortable rooms and a kitchen in all rooms.  If you are looking for another affordable hotel, BEB5 Okinawa Seragaki by Hoshino Resorts has an outdoor infinity pool, a lounge, a cafe, a terrace, and comfortable rooms.

Sesoko Beach, Okinawa, has many amenities, including seasonal lifeguards, changing rooms, paid shower facilities, coin-operated lockers, a picnic area, a beach equipment rental facility, a food concession, portable toilets, a cafe, and an observation deck known as the Sesoko Island Observatory.

Sesoko Beach is a family-friendly beach that offers many fun activities, including swimming, beachcombing, snorkeling, kayaking, banana boating, stand-up paddleboarding, beach volleyball, boating, picnicking, walking, stargazing, and watching wildlife.  If you plan to go into the water, the gentle slope and calm waters make it a perfect spot to swim or wade.  It is worth noting that there are designated swimming zones marked for safety. Snorkelers and divers may spot the diverse marine life that thrives in its clear waters.    Interestingly, the water around Sesoko Beach is home to healthy coral ecosystems, including brain corals, staghorn corals, and labyrinthine reefs, where you may spot a variety of marine life, including colorful tropical fish, sea cucumbers, and sea turtles near the reef.  Sesoko Beach is known for its rich biodiversity, undeveloped natural beauty, tranquil environment, turquoise water, and spectacular views, making it an ideal location for capturing amazing Sesoko Beach photos.  Dogs are not allowed on this beach, and it is open from sunrise until sunset.

Sesoko Beach does not offer an access path for people with disabilities.

Getting to Sesoko Beach is easy - the beach has several parking spots near 5583-1 Sesoko, Motobu, Kunigami District, Okinawa 905-0227, Japan, which provide easy access to the beach.

Interestingly, during the 15th century, Sesoko Island was a part of the Ryukyu Kingdom, which was ruled by the Ryukyu Islands.  In 1879, after the annexation of Japan, the control of the island was transferred to the prefecture of Okinawa.

There are many attractions near Sesoko Beach.  Nago Pineapple Park is a pineapple-themed amusement park showcasing the history and cultivation of pineapples in the region.  It features exotic plants, flowers, and a variety of pineapple species that can be explored through a self-driving, automated cart.  Visitors can taste pineapple wine, juice, cakes, jams, and chocolates.  Matsuda Mega Gama Cave is a significant limestone cave system that has played a vital role in the region's history and offers unique experiences for visitors.​  During World War II, the cave served as a refuge for Okinawans from surrounding villages seeking shelter from bombings and combat.  Visitors can take interesting guided tours to learn about local history, cultural sites, and the significance of the cave during WWII.  Busena Marine Park is a picturesque coastal area that offers visitors a chance to explore the region’s rich marine life through the Underwater Observatory, which is a unique, 360-degree underwater viewing tower located 5 meters below the sea, where visitors can observe colorful tropical fish and coral reefs through large windows.  It also offers glass boat tours with boats that have transparent floors, providing a clear view of the marine life below.

Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium is one of the largest and most impressive aquariums in the world, renowned for its massive Kuroshio Tank, which houses whale sharks, manta rays, various pelagic fish species, and thousands of other marine species.  It features a large Coral Sea tank, along with an outdoor dolphin lagoon and a manatee pool, offering a unique insight into marine life from the ocean's depths.  If you are looking for another nearby attraction, Haneji Dam is a scenic reservoir known for its tranquil atmosphere, lush surroundings, and outdoor recreational opportunities.  Visitors can enjoy many fun activities, including hiking, picnicking, watching wildlife, fishing, and boating.
