Hatenohama Beach

There are a few restaurants near the beach that serve fresh seafood, including the popular Hatenohama Tei and Ufuya restaurants. Both restaurants offer outdoor seating with stunning views of the beach.

There are a few hotels on Kumejima Island, including the Kumejima Eef Beach Hotel and the Kume Island Wellness Resort. The Kumejima Eef Beach Hotel offers beachfront rooms and a rooftop terrace, while the Kume Island Wellness Resort offers private villas with stunning ocean views and a variety of wellness services.

There are no lifeguards on duty, but the beach does have bathroom facilities and offers amenities such as beach chairs and umbrellas for rent.

Visitors can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, scuba diving, sunbathing, and taking a relaxing walk along the shore.

Parking is available at the port on Kumejima Island, and visitors can take a ferry to Hatenohama Beach. There is no parking lot on the beach itself.

Fun fact: Hatenohama Beach is often referred to as "Sand Dollar Beach" due to the abundance of sand dollars that can be found in the shallow waters along the shore.

Nearby attractions include a lighthouse and a coral garden where visitors can see various types of fish and marine life. Additionally, visitors can take a day trip to nearby Zamami Island to explore other beaches and local shops.
