Located at the southern tip of Okinawa Island, in the city of Itoman, Okinawa Prefecture, Odo Beach - also known as Odo Kaigan Coast or John Man Beach - is a small and rocky beach.  This small sheltered beach is positioned on the Odo Kaigan Coast and has a beautiful backdrop of rugged limestone cliffs, lush vegetation, and several oceanfront buildings, creating a picturesque setting along the Pacific Ocean.  This beach is part of a protected marine environment and also promoted as an ecotourism destination, encouraging sustainable tourism practices that preserve its natural environment.

If you get hungry, there are many great restaurants near Odo Beach.  Deigo Restaurant serves incredible seafood, meat, and poultry dishes.  Cafe Yabusachi serves delicious soups, pizzas, pasta, sushi, tempura, rice bowls, meat, seafood, and poultry dishes.  The Palm serves incredible soups, pizzas, pasta, curries, breads, steaks, seafood, poultry, meat, and barbecue dishes.  Hibiscus serves amazing soups, meat, steak, curries, rice bowls, seafood, and poultry dishes.  If you are looking for another good and affordable restaurant, Yama-no-chaya Rakusui serves delicious vegetarian dishes.

If you are looking for hotels near Odo Beach, there are many great options nearby.  If you are looking for an upscale hotel, the 4-Star Hyakuna Garan is 24 minutes away by car and offers several amenities, including a rooftop open-air bathhouse, a garden, a meditation area, a library, and a restaurant.   A more affordable hotel is the 3-Star The Yuinchi Hotel, which offers many amenities, including an outdoor pool, a hot tub, a bathhouse, a spa, and a restaurant.  Another moderately priced option is the 3-Star Glory Island Okinawa Yabusachi Resort, which has several amenities, including an outdoor pool, a spa, and a restaurant.  A more reasonably priced option is the 3-Star KafuwaNanjyo, which has a few amenities, including comfortable rooms and a garden.  If you are looking for another affordable hotel, Atelier Hyakuna has comfortable rooms and a restaurant.

Odo Beach offers many fun activities, including swimming, sunbathing, beachcombing, fishing, snorkeling, diving, stand-up paddleboarding, and photography.  If you plan to go into the water, the waves are usually calm and the water is protected by surrounding coral reefs, making it a safe area to swim.  Anglers may catch a wide variety of fish here.  Snorkelers and divers may spot the diverse marine life that thrives in its clear waters.  If you enjoy tidepooling, you may spot an array of marine life, including hermit crabs, gobies, sea urchins, and shellfish, making it a fascinating spot for nature enthusiasts.   Hikers can explore the nearby trail, which offers unique insights into the local biodiversity.  This beach is known for its serene seaside experience, rocky reefs, clear turquoise water, coral landscapes, and panoramic views, which make it a perfect location to take amazing beach photos.  Dogs are allowed if they are on a leash, and the beach is open from sunrise until sunset.

Kudaka Island is a sacred island in Okinawa, known as the "Island of the Gods" in Ryukyuan mythology.  It is believed to be the first place where Amamikiyo, the legendary creator deity, descended to Earth.  The island is a peaceful retreat with pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and ancient sacred sites.   If you are looking for another nearby attraction, Cape Chinen Park is a picturesque coastal park perched on a high cliff offering panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean and Kudaka Island.  The park features well-maintained walking trails, benches, and a pavilion, ideal for relaxation and photography.
