Glass Beach

Glass Beach is located in Yokosuka, Japan, and is a unique beach due to its name - the sand on the beach is made up of millions of tiny glass pieces. The beach is approximately 200 meters long and the sand has a distinct grey color.

Glass Beach has a few amenities, including bathroom access, but visitors should plan accordingly as there are no lifeguards on duty and dogs are not allowed on the beach.

Fun fact: the glass pieces on the beach were actually formed from years of industrial waste being dumped into the ocean and broken down by the waves.
