Located near Chikura Fishing Port in the city of Minamiboso, Chiba Prefecture, Japan, Minami-Chikura Bathing Beach - also known as Minami-Chikura Beach or Minami-Chikura Coast - is an immensely popular 400-meter-long white sand beach. This beach is a popular seaside destination along the eastern end of the Boso Peninsula and has a spectacular backdrop of lush vegetation, a low seawall, Kawajirigawa Bridge, and many oceanfront buildings, creating a picturesque setting along the Pacific Ocean. In addition, there is a small stream popularly known as the Kawajiri River that drains into the sea near the beach.
