Ottagono - Stabilimento Balneare is a popular beach in Cagliari, Sardinia, known for its fine white sand and picturesque setting. The beach is approximately 200 meters long and offers a lifeguard on duty, sun loungers and umbrellas for rent, and bathroom facilities. It is not dog-friendly. The unique feature of the beach is an octagonal shaped building, which served as a changing room for bathers, lending its name to the beach. The area provides opportunities for swimming, sunbathing, and beach volleyball.
The beach is adjacent to several historical and natural attractions, including the Castello district, the Bastione di Saint Remy, and nearby hiking trails. Visitors can enjoy stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea and explore the local culture and landscapes.
Despite its appeal, the beach lacks certain amenities like dedicated parking, but offers street parking nearby. This makes it a bit challenging to access during peak season, but the scenic views and activities compensate for the inconvenience.
