Located on the northeastern coast of Mykonos, Merchia Beach is a small golden sand pebbly beach with many rocky portions. The beach is only 12 kilometers from the center of the town of Mykonos – it is positioned in a sheltered cove and has a beautiful backdrop of rugged cliffs, little vegetation, a few oceanfront homes, and a small chapel built on the rocks along the shoreline, creating a picturesque setting along the Aegean Sea.
