Mavrobara Turtle Lake is a small lake that is surrounded by pine wood forest in the lap of Kassandra Mountain and is home to three rare species of European water turtles. Visitors have to hike for around three kilometers to access this lake and the surrounding area, which preserves the fragile ecosystem and biodiversity of the region.
