Located in the coastal village of Toroni on the eastern coast of the Sithonia peninsula in Greece, Platanitsi Beach is a 550-meter-long and wide beige sand beach that is considered one of the most beautiful in the Sithonia region. The beach is part of the Platanitsi Camp, which is positioned on the shores of the Singitic Gulf and has a beautiful backdrop of many oceanfront campsites, a few taverns, and a bar, which together provide incredible views of Mount Athos and the Aegean Sea. The campground is positioned on the left side of the beach, whereas the right side of the beach is wider and more popular. In addition, a stream flows into the sea from the middle of the beach, carrying mineral-rich waters with therapeutic properties. The beach has been awarded the Blue Flag certification due to its cleanliness and water quality standards.
