Beach Stiniva

Located on the southern coast of Vis Island, part of Croatia's Dalmatian Coast, Stiniva Beach - also known as Stiniva - is a small pebbly beach.  It is one of the island's farthest and most secluded beaches, nestled in a sheltered cove that opens to the Adriatic Sea through a narrow entrance.  It has a beautiful background of about 35-meter-high limestone cliffs, lush Mediterranean vegetation, and a cafe, creating a picturesque setting along the Adriatic Sea.  Also, in a public poll by European Best Destinations, the visitors of Stiniva Beach have voted it as one of the most beautiful beaches in Europe.  The beach is promoted as an ecotourism destination, encouraging sustainable tourism practices to preserve the natural beauty, flora, and fauna of the region.

Getting to Stiniva Beach parking is difficult - the beach is accessed via a moderately challenging trail that begins near the village of Zuzec on Vis Island.  This steep and rocky trail descends through a rugged path that takes around 30 minutes to reach the beach.  Alternatively, visitors can rent a boat or book boat tours that depart from Vis Town, Komiza, or nearby ports.

Stiniva Cove and Stiniva Beach were designated as protected natural monuments in 1967.  Since then, the cove has maintained its natural splendor, including high, steep cliffs, crystal clear blue water, and steep routes leading to Stiniva beach.
