If you get hungry, there are many great restaurants near Titikaveka Beach.  Little Polynesian Restaurant offers many delicious Polynesian and European-inspired fusion dishes for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Vaima Polynesian Bar and Restaurant offers outstanding dishes including seafood, pasta, pork belly, steak, chicken dishes, and curry, along with refreshing cocktails.  Charlie’s is a restaurant and bar that offers a variety of excellent dishes including sandwiches, local dishes, burgers, salads, and tacos – it also offers a variety of refreshing cocktails and it also offers live music performances.  Beluga offers delicious cafe dishes including sandwiches, seafood, and fries – it also offers refreshing beverages and it has a gift shop and interesting artworks.  If you are looking for another good and affordable nearby restaurant, The Pacific Fish & Chip Shop serves excellent fish-and-chips, along with a variety of other dishes including burgers, fries, and hot dogs.  Another great nearby food option is the Muri Night Market – this market is open on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 5 p.m. onwards.  This night market offers a variety of stalls selling many delicious snacks.   Another great food option near the beach is Fruits of Rarotonga – this small food stall offers great smoothies, along with excellent local produce.

Although Titikaveka Beach does not have lifeguards, this beach and the area near it offer a few other amenities including a picnic area, a restroom, and rental facilities for sun loungers and beach umbrellas.

Titikaveka Rarotonga Beach offers many fun activities including sunbathing, beachcombing, swimming, paddleboarding, jet-skiing, water-skiing, wakeboarding, parasailing, snorkeling, scuba diving, kayaking, canoeing, and wildlife watching.  

Titikaveka Beach is ideal for beginner swimmers because the clear water here usually offers gentle waves.  In addition, snorkelers also visit this beach to explore its vibrant marine life.  If you are planning to swim, snorkel, or paddleboard here, we recommend being careful because the turquoise waters here can have unpredictable rip currents.  In addition, the rugged coral around this beach can also make water activities difficult. 

Titikaveka Beach does not have wheelchair access for visitors with disabilities.

Getting to Titikaveka Beach is easy – this beach is easily accessible from an island-wide road named Ara Tapu Road.  In addition, there is a small free parking lot near the beach.

If you like taking pictures with excellent views, Titikaveka Beach offers amazing Instagram-worthy views of the Pacific Ocean and the southern Rarotonga shoreline.  In addition, this beach was also the filming location of a 2014 short film named Kia Orana.

There are many attractions near Titikaveka Beach.  Maire Nui Gardens are a collection of botanical gardens that are spread over seven acres and have beautiful landscaping and lily ponds – it also offers amazing views of the nearby mountains and it also offers a cafe.  Te Ara Cook Islands Museum of Cultural Enterprise is a museum that offers interesting insights into the history of the Cook Islands and Rarotonga – it also offers a gift shop and a cafe.  Te Vara Nui offers a variety of interesting cultural programs that offer an interesting insight into the local Polynesian Maori culture including dance programs, village tours, and buffet feasts – it also has a waterfall garden and it offers an interesting insight into local history.  Wigmore’s Waterfall – also called Papua Vai Marere – is an approximately 49-feet-tall waterfall that offers some amazing Instagram-worthy photographs and it is also a good swimming site.  However, please note that hiking to this waterfall can be slightly difficult.  If you are looking for another attraction near the beach, Discover Marine Wildlife and Eco Centre is a wildlife center that offers many interesting exhibitions on local wildlife and biodiversity – it is also home to many live animals including turtles, crabs, and fish.
