Fun fact: Ovahe Beach is considered a sacred place by the Rapa Nui people, the indigenous inhabitants of the island.

Besides enjoying the beach, visitors can also explore the nearby caves, including Ana O Keke and Ana O Rongo. There is also a scenic viewpoint overlooking the beach that is worth a visit.
