Sugar Beach

Sugar Beach is a small urban beach located in Toronto, Canada, on the shore of Lake Ontario. The beach is approximately 850 feet long and features soft white sand, giving it a tropical feel.

The beach offers public washrooms and a drinking fountain. Although there are no lifeguards on duty, it is a popular spot for families with children and pets are allowed.

There is limited street parking available near Sugar Beach, but paid parking is also available in a lot nearby. The parking lot is operated by Green P and fees apply.

Fun fact: Sugar Beach gets its name from the Redpath Sugar Refinery located nearby. The beach was created as part of a revitalization project that included the Redpath Sugar Refinery Lands and its adjacent Water's Edge Promenade.

While the beach itself does not have many attractions, it is located near many popular Toronto landmarks, such as the CN Tower and Ripley's Aquarium. Visitors can take a stroll along the nearby Martin Goodman Trail or take a ferry to the Toronto Islands. The Harbourfront Centre is also located nearby, offering cultural events, concerts, and other activities.

There are several dining options available within walking distance of Sugar Beach, including Against the Grain, an upscale pub-style restaurant that offers seafood, burgers, and other dishes, and Boxcar Social, a coffee shop that serves wine, beer, and light bites.

There are no hotels located directly on Sugar Beach, but there are several hotels within walking distance of the beach, such as the Westin Harbour Castle and the Radisson Admiral Hotel. These hotels offer modern amenities and stunning views of the lake and city skyline.
