Hanlan's Point Beach

There are several restaurants located on the Toronto Islands, such as the Island Cafe, Rectory Cafe, and Toronto Island BBQ and Beer Co. These restaurants serve a variety of cuisine, from sandwiches to seafood.

There are no hotels located on the Toronto Islands, but visitors can find accommodations in Toronto and take the ferry to the islands for a day trip.

The beach is equipped with washrooms, change rooms, and outdoor showers. There are no lifeguards on duty at the beach, so visitors must swim at their own risk. Dogs are not allowed on the beach.

There is no public parking available on the Toronto Islands. However, visitors can park at the mainland ferry terminal and take a ferry to Hanlan's Point Beach. The ferry ride takes approximately 15 minutes and there is a fee for the ferry.

Fun fact: Hanlan's Point Beach was named after Edward Hanlan, a famous Canadian rower who won the World Professional Sculling Championship in 1880.

In addition to the beach, there are many other attractions on the Toronto Islands, such as Centreville Amusement Park, Franklin Children's Garden, and the Gibraltar Point Lighthouse. Visitors can also take a leisurely bike ride or hike on one of the many trails on the islands.
