Woodland Beach

Located on the western side of the township of Tiny in Simcoe County, Woodland Beach is a long beige sand beach.  The beach is part of Tiny Marsh Provincial Wildlife Area and is positioned on the eastern shore of Georgian Bay, which provides incredible views.

Woodland Beach does not have lifeguards but offers many other amenities including restrooms, shaded picnic areas, changing rooms, a boardwalk, and trash cans.

Woodland Beach offers many fun activities including swimming, sunbathing, surfing, paddle boarding, boating, water skiing, fishing, picnicking, and hiking, while in winter visitors can enjoy ice fishing and snowmobiling.  If you are planning to go into the water near the beach, it is the perfect beach to swim.  However, we recommend being careful, as the water here is known to have unpredictable rip currents.  The water near the beach is shallow, which is ideal for canoes, kayaks, and small boats.  It is a perfect spot for windsurfing due to its frequently windy weather.   Hikers can enjoy the nearby hiking trails, which offer unique insights into the local biodiversity.  If you intend to fish on this beach, visitors have to obtain fishing permits.  However, this beach is ideal for visitors seeking a more tranquil experience, as it sees fewer visitors than other nearby beaches.  Dogs are allowed here if they are on a leash, and the beach is open from sunrise until sunset.

Woodland Beach does not offer an access path for people with disabilities.

Getting to Woodland Beach is easy - the beach has a paid parking lot located at 2020 Tiny Beach Road South, which is easily accessible via Crossland Road 29.  It is important to note that visitors must have a parking permit and are required to park their vehicles here.

There are many attractions near Woodland Beach.  Wasaga Adventure Park is a family-friendly recreational area spread over 70 acres that offers many fun activities, including paintball, airsoft, archery, laser combat, axe throwing, NERF Wars, ziplines, gel blasters, and camping.  Georgian Bay Park is a bayfront park spread over 200 acres and offers many amenities, including campsites, RV sites,a pool, picnic areas, picnic tables, walking trails, and a lookout tower.  Tiny Marsh Provincial Wildlife Area is a protected natural area spread over 1460 acres that is home to mashes, coastal lagoons, and wetlands, making it a unique combination of terrestrial and marine ecosystems.  Visitors can enjoy many fun activities, including hiking, biking, picnicking, bird watching, kayaking, and canoeing.  Rounds Ranch is a family-friendly farm that offers around 25 intriguing activities for all age groups, including a corn maze, pumpkin patch, playgrounds,farm-themed activities, wagon rides, and farm animal petting sessions.  In addition, it also hosts seasonal events and festivals, including Easter egg hunts, Halloween celebrations, and Christmas activities.   If you are looking for another nearby attraction, Simcoe County Museum aims to provide interesting insight into the history, culture, and natural heritage of Simcoe County through exhibits, artifacts, and related memorabilia.
