Long Caye

The only restaurant on the island is the Long Caye Restaurant and Bar, which serves Belizean and international cuisine. Visitors can also find restaurants and cafes on nearby islands such as Half Moon Caye and Turneffe Atoll.

There are no hotels on Long Caye, but visitors can choose to stay at nearby islands such as Half Moon Caye or Turneffe Atoll. These islands offer a range of accommodations, from luxurious resorts to budget-friendly guesthouses.

There are no lifeguards on duty, but the beach offers bathroom access and is dog-friendly. Plan your trip accordingly as Long Caye has few amenities, although it does have a restaurant and bar on site.

The beach is approximately 1.5 miles long and features soft white sand and crystal-clear waters perfect for swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving.

There is no parking lot on Long Caye as it is only accessible by boat. Visitors can park their cars at the boat docks on the mainland, and then take a water taxi to the island. The water taxi service is available at a fee.

Fun fact: Long Caye is part of the Lighthouse Reef Atoll, which is one of the most popular diving locations in the world. It is home to the Great Blue Hole, a large underwater sinkhole that is a popular diving spot for experienced divers.

Aside from diving, visitors can also explore the island's nature trails and visit the mangrove swamps. The island also offers kayaking and paddleboarding tours, as well as fishing excursions.
