Silica Beach is a stunning beach located on Hidden Island in the Buccaneer Archipelago of Western Australia. It is renowned for its pristine, ivory sand and crystal-clear turquoise waters. The beach stretches for approximately 150 meters and offers a pure, unspoiled environment. The traditional owners of this land are the Mayala people, and the beach is also known by its Indigenous name, Ngalangalangarr. Visitors can enjoy activities such as swimming, relaxation, and exploration of the surrounding wildlife and rock formations.
This beach is often referred to as the Kimberley’s Whitehaven due to its breathtaking beauty. The silica sand, which gives the beach its name, results from the unique water catchment behind it, consisting of pure quartzite free from other minerals.
Access to the beach is typically by private yacht or commercial cruise, making it a secluded and exclusive destination.
