Bathers Beach(Whalers Beach)

Located on West Island in the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, Bathers Beach is a stunning strip of sandy shoreline with crystal-clear waters. The beach is around 200 meters long and is known for its white sand that reflects the sunlight beautifully.

The beach is equipped with several amenities, including bathroom access, picnic tables, and shaded areas. Please note that there are no lifeguards on duty at this beach, and dogs are not allowed.

Visitors can enjoy swimming, snorkeling, sunbathing, and fishing at Bathers Beach.

There is no designated parking area for Bathers Beach, but visitors can park their vehicles on the side of the road leading to the beach. Parking is free.

Fun fact: Bathers Beach is the first beach on West Island that visitors will come across when they arrive on the island. It is also considered one of the best places to watch the sunset in the Cocos (Keeling) Islands.

Apart from enjoying the beach, visitors can also explore the stunning marine life in the area. The beach is located close to the popular spot of Direction Island, where visitors can go snorkeling or diving to see a plethora of fish and coral. Another popular attraction in the area is the Cocos Islands National Park, which is home to a diverse range of flora and fauna.
