Activities
Oyster Stacks offers many fun activities, including swimming, sunbathing, snorkeling, fishing, bushwalking, and hiking. If you are planning to go into the water, the beach has a safe swimming area, but we recommend being careful as the shoreline is rocky with some sharp oyster-shelled areas. Oyster Stacks Ningaloo Reef offers amazing opportunities for snorkelers and divers to explore the large coral bombies that are home to an abundance of marine life, including Moorish Idol, Convict Surgeonfish, Parrotfish, Lined and Racoon Butterfly Fish, Angelfish, large rays, gropers, sharks, turtles, and a wide variety of fish species. Among the Oyster Stacks Snorkeling Area reviews, it is one of the only snorkeling spots that is completely dependent on tide, as the water near the beach is shallow, so we advise nature enthusiasts to visit here during high tide when there is sufficient water to cover the reef, and the nearby Milyering Discovery Center and Ningaloo Centre can provide guidance regarding Oyster Stacks tide heights and times. If you enjoy photography, snorkelers can take incredible Oyster Stacks Snorkeling Area photos. It is perfect for visitors looking for a tranquil experience, as this beach sees fewer visitors than other nearby beaches. There is a nearby campground, popularly known as Kurrajong Campground, where visitors may book a camp to enjoy an incredible camping experience. Hikers can enjoy the nearby hiking trails, which offer unique insights into the local biodiversity. Dogs are not allowed on the beach, and the beach is open from sunrise until sunset.
