Clontarf Beach is a family-friendly beach that offers many fun activities, including swimming, sunbathing, beachcombing, building castles, picnicking, kayaking, canoeing, paddleboarding, snorkeling, boating, and fishing. If you are planning to go into the water, the waves are usually calm, making it a safe place to swim. In addition, there is a netted tidal pool located at the southern end of the beach, which is a perfect place for kids to go swimming. The water near the beach is shallow, which is ideal for canoes, kayaks, and small boats. If you enjoy fishing, you may catch a variety of fish. Also, there is a mobile floating water park located just off Clontarf Beach that operates on weekends and during school holidays, namely Jungle Float. It features a slide, trampolines, high jumps, and a rope swing, and visitors have to pay 30 dollars for one and a half hours. The beach attracts a large influx of visitors, especially during the school holidays and weekends. Dogs are allowed if they are on a leash, and it is open from sunrise until sunset.
