Located in the town of Isla Vista, El Embarcadero Beach Access is a mile long and two miles wide beach on the southwest side of Santa Barbara Airport. El Embarcadero Beach Access is a part of Pelican Park and is backed by a steep bluff with many houses. El Embarcadero Beach Access is situated next to the University of California, Santa Barbara – and is very popular with college students. El Embarcadero Beach Access welcomes dogs on leash and offers many amenities including showers, picnic tables, benches, and a grass park. There are a couple of fun activities at El Embarcadero Beach Access including whale watching, beach walking, and sunbathing. Getting to El Embarcadero Beach Access is very easy – Pelican Park is situated at the end of El Embarcadero Road at Del Playa Drive and there is a long steep stairway that provides easy access to the beach. You can use the free parking spots available along Del Playa Drive, but it is advisable to get here early as these spots are limited.
