Porth Tywyn Mawr is, as the name implies, a sandy beach with low dunes in the distance. Stretching for nearly a mile, this beach is great for walking your dog or spending time with your family––with the gentle breeze and breaking waves permeating the air. The Penrhyn Bay Caravan grounds are located at the southern side of the beach. Because this is a rural beach, the closest facilities are at Llanfaethlu (a short drive up the road).
