Rottingdean Beach

There are plenty of dining options near the beach, including The Grange Gallery & Restaurant, a popular seafood restaurant offering stunning sea views, and The Plough Inn, a traditional English pub serving hearty pub grub.

As for accommodations, The White Horse Hotel, located in the heart of the village, is a charming and historic hotel with comfortable rooms and excellent service. The Deans Place Hotel is also nearby, offering elegant rooms and beautiful gardens.

Visitors can enjoy activities such as swimming, sunbathing, and fishing. The beach has public toilets and a café. Unfortunately, there are no lifeguards on duty and dogs are not allowed on the beach between May and September.

There is a small car park located close to the beach, which operates on a pay-and-display system.

Fun fact: Rottingdean Beach was once a popular destination for smugglers who used its secluded location to smuggle contraband goods into the country.

Attractions near the beach include the historic Rottingdean Windmill, the Kipling Gardens, and the St. Margaret's Church, which is home to a beautiful stained glass window designed by Sir Edward Burne-Jones.
