Kynance Cove offers many fun activities including sunbathing, swimming, hiking, paddleboarding, boating, surf-skiing, tidepooling, snorkelling, kayaking, canoeing, and wildlife watching.
The best time to swim here is during low tide because the turquoise water here usually has manageable conditions. If you are planning to swim, snorkel, or canoe here, we recommend being careful because the water here can have unpredictable rip currents and dangerous waves.
At low tide, you can explore the interesting caves and islets around the beach – the caves here are known to have a unique kind of metamorphic rock called Suprentine Rock. In addition, one of the famous islets that you can explore around this beach is Asparagus Island and it has a natural blowhole.
If you like taking pictures with beautiful views, Kynance Cove and the cliff top area above it offer a stunning view of the Northern Atlantic Ocean and the Cornish Coast. If you like birdwatching, you can see many kinds of resident and migratory birds around the beach.
If you like hiking, you can hike along a hiking trail named South West Coast Path – this trail will lead you to a headland named Lizard Point, which offers an amazing hiking and wildlife watching experience.
