Located to the north of Liverpool, Crosby Beach is a popular, beautiful, and large beach with light brown and soft sand. A portion of this beach is also called Crosby Blitz Beach because it has ruins of buildings bombed by the Nazi German air force during World War Two – Crosby Blitz Beach is located in the northern part of Crosby Beach. A river called River Alt flows through Crosby Beach – once this river passes the beach, it flows into the Irish Sea.
CNN Travel featured Crosby Beach England in its 2017 article “Go to England for the beaches? Yes – 9 worth a visit.” In addition, Lonely Planet also listed this beach as one of the best beaches near Liverpool – Conde Nast Traveller also listed this beach as one of the best beaches near Liverpool. In addition, this beach was also awarded the “Quality Coast Award” by an organization named “Keep Britain Tidy” in 2011.
