Iztuzu Beach, also known as Turtle Beach, is a roughly 3 mile stretch of pristine beach located between the Daylan River and the Mediterranean Sea. Iztuzu Beach is nestled in southwestern Turkey and is a top breeding ground for loggerhead sea turtles in the Mediterranean. In efforts to protect the endangered loggerhead sea turtle several protective measures have been put in place. Speedboats are prohibited from traveling within a mile of the beach and animals are not permitted to enter. This makes for an incredibly pristine and serene experience. There is an entry fee of 5 Turkish lira, which is roughly 2 dollars.
