Playa Canadell is the largest of the beaches in Calella de Palafrugell. As an old fishing village that's not become a popular summer destination wealthier Catalans, it still has its old and historical charm alongside a variety of bars and restaurants. With brightly painted doors, beach huts, kayaks/canoes for hire, and a sailing school, Playa Canadell has a lot to offer, even for the casual swimmer! This beach also has a boat taxi service to the other boats that stop at Calella. A word of caution-- because of Spain's public nudity laws, you may potentially see topless swimmers at the beaches you visit. However, Playa Canadell is not known as a nude beach. If this is a concern of yours, please be aware.
