Colombier Beach does not offer an access path for people with disabilities.

Getting to Colombier Beach is difficult - the beach is only accessible by hiking or by boat, as there are no public roads leading to the beach. Visitors can hike on the moderately challenging Colombier Beach Trail starting from Petite Anse, located near 1 Petite Anse, Anse des Flamands 97133, Saint Barthélemy, which takes around 20 minutes to reach the beach, or visitors can hike from the trailhead starting from Flamands Beach. Alternatively, visitors can rent a private boat or yacht or take a boat tour from Gustavia Harbor, which is another popular option for those who want to avoid the hike.

Colombier Beach is often referred to as "Rockefeller's Beach," as the beach was the home of billionaire David Rockefeller who was one of the world’s richest people prior who was worth many billions of dollars prior to his death in 2017.

In addition, St. Barths is a French overseas territory, not a separate country. As a "collectivite d'outre-mer," it has some local autonomy but remains under French control for things like defense and foreign policy. It manages its own local affairs while still being part of France.

There are many attractions near Colombier Beach. The Gustavia Lighthouse is a nine-meter-high cylindrical-shaped lighthouse perched on a hilltop overlooking Gustavia Harbor. It was built in 1961 to guide ships safely into the harbor. Visitors can explore the lighthouse and its surrounding areas that offer an interesting glimpse into the maritime history of the region while enjoying the panoramic views of the Caribbean Sea. The Swedish Clock Tower is a popular historical landmark that stands as a significant reminder of the island of St. Barthelemy's Swedish colonial past. This Swedish bell tower was once the Protestant Sophia Magdalena church, which was named in honor of the Swedish queen Sophie-Madeleine of Denmark and used to call the faithful to religious services.

The Natural Reserve of Saint-Barthélemy is a protected marine area that covers five distinct zones around the island, including areas like Colombier, Fourchue, and the bays of Grand Cul-de-Sac and Petit Cul-de-Sac, to preserve the island’s rich marine biodiversity. The reserve is home to a variety of species, including coral reefs, sea turtles, tropical fish, and sharks, where visitors can enjoy many fun activities, including swimming, snorkeling, and diving within the reserve to explore its vibrant underwater life. Gustavia, the capital of St. Barthélemy Island, is known for its picturesque harbor filled with yachts, historical sites, art galleries, duty-free shopping, gourmet restaurants, and vibrant nightlife, making it a vibrant hub of culture, history, and leisure in the Caribbean. In addition, the town hosts many popular events like the St. Barth Bucket Regatta and the St. Barth Music Festival, making it lively year-round. If you are looking for another nearby attraction, Fort Karl is a historical fort built during the island’s Swedish colonial era. It served as a defensive stronghold to protect Gustavia Harbor. The original structure is now in ruins, but visitors can explore the remnants of the fort. Its strategic hilltop location provides Instagram-worthy views of Gustavia, making it a popular spot for photography and sightseeing.
