Just west of town, Praia do Farol is a great spot for relaxing, despite getting although it gets pretty busy on season. Additionally, beachgoers should be on the lookout for strong currents when taking a dip in the water.

Although it is protected by large rocks behind it and has large rock areas closer to the ocean, Praia do Malhao enjoys expansive areas of soft and luscious sand. Despite waves that are ideal for surfing, there aren't any local rentals.
