Located on the northeastern tip of Masirah Island in Oman, Masira Island Resort Beach is a long and wide golden sand beach.  It is one of the well-known Masirah Island beaches and is positioned near the town of Hilf, with a beautiful background of bushy vegetation and a hotel that offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea.  It is important to note that Masira Island Resort Beach serves as a nesting place for four species of sea turtles, including the endangered loggerhead turtle, greens, hawksbills, and olive ridleys.

The beach is famous for the shipwreck of the Star of India, a cargo ship that met its fate during one of the treacherous monsoon seasons that frequent the Arabian Sea.  The ship's remains lie submerged off the coast near the Masira Island Resort Beach, and the wreck is home to a variety of marine life, including fish, coral, and other sea creatures, making it a popular spot for snorkeling and diving.

If you get hungry, there are many restaurants near Masira Island Resort Beach.  The Dhow Restaurant is an oceanfront upscale restaurant positioned right on the beach and serves incredible seafood, poultry, beef, and meat dishes.  Turkish Restaurant serves salads, seafood, meat, and poultry dishes. Hamor Island Restaurant is a waterfront restaurant that serves incredible biryani, shawarma, kebabs, seafood, poultry, and meat dishes.  Masirah Grill House serves amazing kebabs, biryani, seafood, meat, and poultry dishes.  If you are looking for another good and affordable nearby restaurant, Cheezy Bites serves salads, pizzas, burgers, pasta, seafood, meat, and poultry dishes.

If you are looking for a hotel near Masira Island Resort Beach, there are many great options.  If you are looking for an upscale hotel, the 2-Star Masira Island Resort Oman is right on the beach and offers many amenities, including an outdoor pool, a spa, a fitness center, and several restaurants.   A more affordable hotel is the beachfront Hotel Danat Al Khaleej, which offers several amenities, including a courtyard and a playground with a swing set.  Another moderately priced option is the beachfront Maison Masirah, which has several amenities, including a fitness center, a garden, and a terrace.  A more reasonably priced option is the Al Jood Hotel Apartments, which offers a few amenities, including free WiFi and a restaurant.  If you are looking for another good and affordable nearby campground, the Masirah Sunset Camp offers a few amenities, including free WiFi and a restaurant.

Masira Island Resort Beach does not have lifeguards or any other amenities except a hotel, so plan your trip accordingly.

Masira Island Resort Beach offers many fun activities, including swimming, sunbathing, building sandcastles, picnicking, beachcombing, boating, deep-sea fishing, kitesurfing, and bird watching.   If you are planning to go in the water, there is a swimming area, and the waves are always fairly calm.  Snorkelers and divers may spot an array of marine life, making it a fascinating spot for nature enthusiasts.  If you enjoy fishing, you may book a fishing tour for traditional Omani fishing or deep-sea fishing.  The beaches attract a variety of migratory birds, making them a hotspot for birdwatchers.  Dogs are welcome on the beach if they are on a leash, and the beach is open from sunrise until sunset.

Masira Island Resort Beach offers an access path for people with disabilities.

The island of Masirah is easily accessible from Shannah Port on the Omani mainland.  Visitors can book by ferry, which takes about one hour and twenty minutes to reach Masirah Port on the island.

Getting to Masira Island Resort is easy - the beach has parking spots near Masira Island Resort, Highway 51 Masirah Island, which provides easy access to the beach.

Interestingly, the beach is part of Masirah Island, which is situated off the southeastern coast of mainland Oman and is the largest island in Oman, stretching approximately 95 kilometers in length and 12 kilometers in width.  Masira Island Resort Beach is the perfect place to watch the sunset over the Arabian Sea. 

There are many attractions near Masira Island Resort Beach.  The Masirah Lighthouse, located on the northern part of the island, serves a crucial role in guiding ships safely through the waters surrounding the island, which are part of one of the world's busiest maritime routes between the Gulf of Oman, the Arabian Sea, and the Indian Ocean.  Masirah Island Desert Safari is an exciting experience that allows visitors to explore the island's rugged terrain and unique desert flora and fauna.  The safari includes many adventure activities, such as dune bashing, sandboarding, and camel riding, making it an amazing experience.  Masirah Island Nature Reserve is a protected area that is home to a wide range of flora and fauna, including endangered species like the Arabian Oryx, which are protected and conserved within the area.  Visitors can enjoy watching wildlife and taking amazing photos.  

Hilf is a small village on the northern part of Masirah Island, which is home to the Royal Oman Air Force base and a fish factory.  It offers an interesting insight into the rich cultural heritage and traditional lifestyle of the community.  Visitors can explore traditional houses, the local market, savor traditional dishes, go on boat tours and fishing trips, and learn about the island's rich history and customs.  Jabal al Humr, also known as the "Red Mountain," is a 274-meter-tall mountain on the eastern coast of Masirah Island.  This striking red-hued mountain rises amidst the island’s arid landscape and is characterized by its distinctive reddish coloration due to iron oxide in the rocks.  Visitors can climb up the mountain and enjoy Instagram-worthy views.
