Getting to Ngarunui Beach is easy - the beach has a large parking area near Riria Kereopa Memorial Drive, Raglan 3297, New Zealand.  After parking, there is a wooden staircase that provides easy access from the parking area down to the beach.

The beach’s name, "Ngarunui," means "Big Waves" in Maori, reflecting its strong surf conditions and making it one of the best surfing destinations in the region, attracting surfers who appreciate its consistent waves and relaxed vibe.

There are many attractions near Ngarunui Beach.  Bridal Veil Falls—also known as Waireinga Falls—is a spectacular 55-meter-high waterfall that cascades over a basalt rock cliff, created by volcanic activity thousands of years ago, making it one of the most picturesque waterfalls in the Waikato region.  There are four viewing platforms that offer Instagram-worthy views.  Raglan Wharf is a historic waterfront area, originally built in the late 19th century for shipping and fishing, since it remains an important part of Raglan's heritage.  It is known for its fishing, harbor views, and local charm.  Visitors can enjoy fresh seafood at Raglan Fish, explore artisan galleries, or take a boat tour, making it a perfect place to relax and watch the sunset over the Raglan Harbor.  The Raglan Museum is dedicated to preserving the rich history of the town of Raglan and the surrounding region.  It has a gallery that showcases a variety of artifacts, photographs, and documents that offer a glimpse into the lives of the region's indigenous Maori people, early European settlement, strong surfing culture, and the maritime history of the region.

Wainui Reserve Bush Park is a scenic nature reserve spread over 140 hectares that features walking trails, coastal views, and native bushland, where visitors can enjoy bushwalking, birdwatching, photography, and picnicking.  If you are looking for another nearby attraction, the Karioi Summit Track is a six-kilometer-long, rugged hiking trail leading to the famous summit of Mount Karioi that offers breathtaking views of the Tasman Sea, native bush, and an adventure for experienced hikers.
