Brighton Beach

Brighton Beach is located in the seaside suburb of Brighton, just south of Dunedin on the South Island of New Zealand. The beach is approximately 2.5 kilometers long and has fine golden sand.

The beach has a surf life-saving club with lifeguards on duty during the summer months, as well as public toilets and a children's playground

Fun fact: Brighton Beach was originally known as Waldronville Beach, named after the nearby settlement of Waldronville. It was later renamed Brighton in the 1870s by a group of English settlers who were reminded of the English seaside town of Brighton.
