Bethells Beach

Bethells Beach is a popular beach located on the west coast of the North Island of New Zealand, in Waitakere Ranges. The beach is approximately 1.2 km long and has black sand.

Fun fact: Bethells Beach is also known as Te Henga, which means "sand dunes" in Maori. The area is of significant cultural and spiritual importance to the local Maori tribe, Te Kawerau a Maki.
