Nika Island

Nika Island is located in Mathiveri, Maldives and features a stunning beach with crystal clear waters and soft white sand. The beach is approximately 450 meters in length.

The beach has bathroom facilities available, but there are no lifeguards on duty and dogs are not allowed.

Visitors can also enjoy sunbathing and relaxing in the shade of the palm trees and offers a range of activities such as swimming, snorkeling, diving, fishing, and windsurfing.

As Nika Island is a small island, there are no cars or parking lots available. Visitors can only reach the island by seaplane or speedboat transfer arranged through the resort.

Fun fact: Nika Island is home to a unique underwater sculpture garden that can be explored through snorkeling or diving. The sculptures are made from pH-neutral materials to avoid harming the surrounding coral reef ecosystem.

Apart from the underwater sculpture garden, there are several other attractions near the beach, including the nearby island of Mathiveri, which has a local market and a cultural museum. The Mathiveri Island Mosque is also worth a visit.

There are several restaurants on Nika Island that serve a variety of cuisine, including local Maldivian dishes, Italian cuisine, and fresh seafood. These include the Beach Club, the overwater restaurant at the resort, and the Italian restaurant.

There is only one hotel on Nika Island, which is the Nika Island Resort & Spa. The hotel offers overwater villas and beach villas with private pools, as well as a range of amenities such as a spa, fitness center, and water sports center.
