Located in the middle portion of the Hanalei Bay shoreline, Hanalei Pavilion Beach Park is a recreational park with a wide light brown sand beach. This crescent-shaped beach is also known as Pavilions. The beach has been named the 9th Best Beach in the Top 50 Beaches in the United States list in 2022 by Randall Kaplan, the world's foremost beach expert who is known as "Mr. Beach". Hanalei Pavilion Beach Park is situated on the island of Kauai. Palm trees are present near the beach in Hanalei Pavilion Beach Park. Hanalei Pavilion Beach Park has a spectacular backdrop of oceanfront mountains. It is important to note that while a lifeguard tower is present at Hanalei Pavilion Beach Park, lifeguard deployment may not be permanent here. Hanalei Pavilion Beach Park has many other amenities including a large pavilion, grassy areas, restrooms, showers, and barbecue areas. Getting to Hanalei Pavilion Beach Park is easy - from Hawaii State Route 560 (which is also known as Kuhio Highway), you need to turn towards Aku Road. From Aku Road, you need to turn towards Weke Road. Weke Road will eventually lead you to Hanalei Pavilion Beach Park. A small parking lot is also present near the beach, along with nearby street parking spaces.
Located on the northern part of Kauai, Haena Beach Park – also called Haena Beach, Ha’ena Beach Park, Ha’ena Beach, and Maniniholo Beach – is a popular, beautiful, curve-shaped, and long beach with coarse golden coral sand, a sloping incline, and a few large black rocks. HAWAII Magazine praised this beach in its article “How Kauai’s North Shore Has Changed for Visitors.” The beach has a family-friendly atmosphere and it also has a wonderful backdrop of an oceanfront mountain named Mount Makana. This beach should not be confused with a nearby state park that has a similar name called Haena State Park.
