Located on the western shore of Folsom Lake in Placer County, California, Granite Bay Folsom Lake - also known as Granite Bay Beach and Granite Bay Main Beach - is a popular recreation area that has a long and wide beige sand beach. Folsom Lake is a reservoir on the American River that was created in 1955 after the construction of Folsom Dam. This beach has a beautiful background of dunes, Sierra Nevada mountains, and lush vegetation including oak woodlands, manzanita, and chaparral, which together offer incredible views.
