Also known as Besant Nagar Beach, Elliot’s Beach is a long stretch of sand along the coast line of Chennai. The beach is undoubtedly one of the most well-maintained and equipped beach in this area, offering lounge chair rentals and various water sports activities. If you are a sea food lover, there is a fish market at the beach, and you can also enjoy a nice local meal at the beach restaurants. Near the center of this beach, you can find the Schmidt Memorial, which honors a Dutch sailor who gave his life saving a drowning girl near this beach.
