Dhanushkodi Beach in Tamil Nadu is a long stretch of sand located at the tip of Pamban Island. The village in which the beach is located was destroyed by the 1964 Dhanushkodi cyclone strike. You will see many historic ruins along the beach, including remains of railway stations and residential houses. At the very south-eastern end of the beach, there is the Dhanushkodi Point, where more remains of the abandoned village can be found. In addition, the beach also offers a view of Sir-Lanka.
