Located on the western coast of Havelock Island in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands, a Union Territory of India, Radhanagar Beach - also known as Beach No. 7 - is an immensely popular two-kilometer-long white sand beach with many rocky portions. The beach was considered one of the best beaches in Asia and the 7th best beach in the world by Time Magazine in 2004 due to its natural beauty and crystal-clear waters – it is also a favorite of Randall Kaplan, the world’s foremost beach expert who is known as Mr. Beach. The beach has a spectacular backdrop of dense tropical rainforest, hills, a few restaurants, and several opulent hotels, adding allure to its beauty, and providing Instagram-worthy views of the Bay of Bengal. Radhanagar Beach has been awarded the Blue Flag certification from the United Nations Environment Programme for its natural beauty, cleanliness, and water quality standards. The local authorities and communities are actively involved in conservation efforts to protect the beach’s natural beauty and ensure its sustainability.

Radhanagar Beach offers an access path for people with disabilities.

There is no direct flight to Radhanagar Beach, Havelock Island. The majority of international flights operate to and from the Veer Savarkar International Airport (IXZ) in Port Blair, the capital of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. In addition to flying here, visitors can access Havelock Island by boat or helicopter from the mainland, Port Blair. 

If you are traveling from Port Blair, you can book a ferry from Haddo Jetty Terminal to Havelock Jetty to access the beach.

Visitors can also book a helicopter or a seaplane from Port Blair to access Radhanagar Beach on Havelock Island.

Getting to Radhanagar Beach is easy - the beach is located near Beach No. 7, Radhanagar Village, State Highway 4, Havelock Island, 744211, which provides easy access to the beach. It is worth noting that visitors can hire a car from the Havelock Island ferry terminal to access the beach.

There are many attractions near Radhanagar Beach. The Swaraj Dweep Lighthouse is situated at the northern tip of Havelock Island and offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding lush landscapes and the Andaman Sea .  Radhanagar Village is a small village that offers unique insight into the rich cultural heritage and traditional lifestyle of islanders on Havelock Island. Visitors can explore traditional wooden houses and bustling markets, savor traditional seafood dishes, rent bikes, go diving and snorkeling excursions, go on boat tours and fishing trips, and learn about the island's rich history and customs. In addition, the village hosts many cultural events and festivals that showcase traditional music, dance, and art. The Walking Path to Elephant Beach is a two-kilometer-long moderately challenging trail that meanders through lush green forest with rich flora, including tall trees, shrubs, and occasional glimpses of exotic wildlife. If you are looking for another nearby attraction, the Cellular Jail, also known as Kala Pani, is a former British colonial prison that stands as a reminder of the brutal history of India's struggle for independence. The jail was used by the British to exile political prisoners to the remote islands, away from the mainland. It also has a museum with several galleries and exhibits that detail the history of the prison, the conditions faced by inmates, and the stories of the freedom fighters who were imprisoned there.
