Perissa Beach

Perissa Beach is a stunning black sand beach located in the Thira Municipal Unit of Greece.

The beach has many amenities including sun loungers and umbrellas for rent, showers, toilets, and changing rooms. Lifeguards are on duty during the summer season, making it a safe place for families with children. Dogs are not allowed on the beach.

The beach is approximately 7 kilometers long and offers various activities such as swimming, sunbathing, beach volleyball, and water sports like windsurfing and paddleboarding

There is a large free public parking lot near the beach, making it easy to park your vehicle. There are also paid parking options closer to the beach for those who prefer it.

Perissa Beach has some fun facts about it - it is believed to be one of the oldest beaches in Santorini and is located close to the ancient city of Thera. The black sand is the result of the volcanic activity that occurred on the island thousands of years ago.
