Sikamia Beach, located on the island of Serifos in Greece, is a secluded and largely unspoilt destination known for its tranquility and natural beauty. It is situated approximately 10 kilometers northwest of Chora, the island's main town, and is near the historic village of Galani. The beach's shoreline is a mix of sand and pebble, with an 80% sand coverage, making it one of the largest beaches on the island. It is surrounded by large trees that provide shade, making it an ideal spot for relaxation. The sea is crystal clear and shallow at several meters from the beach, making it safe for small children. The undersea rocks are home to a variety of sea flora and fauna, providing an excellent opportunity for snorkeling.
Despite its remote location, Sikamia Beach does offer some amenities for visitors. There is a family-run tavern near the beach where visitors can enjoy coffee and traditional Greek dishes. However, visitors are advised to bring their own equipment for comfort as the beach does not provide umbrellas or sling chairs.
Access to the beach can be challenging due to the unpaved road, and it is recommended to use an SUV or motorcycle for transportation. There are two main entrances to the beach, both suitable for regular cars, but drivers should be cautious of potholes and sharp stones. Ample parking is available near the beach, with some spaces located just a few meters from the shore.
