Antonides Beach is a picturesque and secluded cove located on the southeastern side of Kythnos Island, within the Panagia Kanala peninsula. The beach is known for its clear, turquoise waters and a shoreline that alternates between fine sand and pebbles. It features a rocky seabed at its center, with accessible entry points to the left and right. The area is adorned with whitewashed tamarisk trees, providing natural shade and sometimes accompanied by fishing boats. Despite its beauty, Antonides Beach is less family-friendly due to its accessibility, requiring visitors to descend about ninety steps, making it more popular among younger travelers. The beach's serene atmosphere and lack of amenities contribute to its wild and uncrowded nature during the peak season.
Access to the beach is possible by land through the Kanala settlement, approximately 11.5 km from Mericha Port, or by sea through organized boat tours from nearby areas.
Antonides Beach is a part of the larger Kanala bay, offering stunning views and a tranquil experience amidst the natural beauty of the Aegean Sea.
