Giola is a natural seawater pool located on the southern part of Thassos island, near the village of Astris, Greece. Unlike traditional beaches, Giola offers a unique swimming experience, as it is a lagoon carved directly into the rock formations along the coast. The pool is approximately 20 meters in length and its sand, though not expansive like typical beaches, is a mixture of fine pebbles and rocks that add to its natural beauty. Giola has few amenities, so plan your trip accordingly, although it does have bathroom access, and dogs are allowed.
