Playa Carmen(Carmen Beach)

Playa Carmen is a beautiful beach located in Cóbano, Costa Rica. This beach is approximately 2 km long with soft, golden sand.

Playa Carmen has few amenities, so plan your trip accordingly, although it does have bathroom access and some small shops selling snacks and souvenirs

activities available at the beach include swimming, surfing, sunbathing, and beach volleyball.

There is free parking available at the entrance to the beach, but it can get crowded during peak tourist season.

Fun fact: Playa Carmen is also known as Santa Teresa Beach, which is the name of the town it is located in.

Attractions on and near the beach include renting surfboards, kayaks, and snorkeling equipment. The area is also famous for its stunning sunsets.

Nearby restaurants include Chicken Joe's, which serves American-style fried chicken, sushi and tacos at The Bakery, and delicious Italian food at Al Chile Viola.

There are several nearby hotels, including Pranamar Villas & Yoga Retreat, which offers luxury bungalows and a beachfront yoga studio.
