Rum Point Beach(Rum Point)

Rum Point Beach is located on the northern coast of Grand Cayman in the small village of Rum Point. The beach is approximately 1,200 feet long and is known for its soft white sand and crystal-clear waters.

Rum Point Beach has a few amenities including restroom facilities, beach chairs and umbrellas, and beach volleyball courts. However, there are no lifeguards on duty and dogs are not allowed on the beach.

There is a parking lot available at Rum Point Beach for a fee, but visitors can also arrive by boat. In fact, Rum Point is a popular spot for boaters and there is a dock available for those who prefer to arrive by sea.

Fun fact: Rum Point Beach got its name from the many barrels of rum that washed up on its shores after a shipwreck in the 17th century.

In addition to its beautiful beach, Rum Point is also known for its bioluminescent bay, which is home to tiny, glowing plankton that light up the water at night. Visitors can take a tour to experience this natural phenomenon.

There are several restaurants located near Rum Point Beach, including the popular Rum Point Club restaurant, which serves Caribbean cuisine and has stunning views of the beach and ocean.
